From the very first meetings I felt comfortable with Matt. He gave a detailed pricing analysis and met with us to explain it. His prices were in line with the other 2 I received. Working with him and his subs was a pleasure. He clearly communicated the schedule, the expectations of how his subs would behave and deliver. We finished an approximately $120k addition of master bath and closet on time and on budget. I have been a realtor for 27 years and I will be happy to refer my clients to this company.

Matt did a wonderful job on our full house remodel. He was up front about budget and cost expectations and thus we were able to stay within our final budget. His has wonderful sub-contractors, which is essential in a construction project. Most importantly, we were able to move into our house a week before having our first child – a deadline that was critical for us and Matt met it. Now a year into our home we have had almost no issues and very happy with our decision to remodel.

Live Oak remodeled our kitchen, master bathroom and finished the basement and exceeded all of our expectations. They did what we wanted, when we wanted and at the agreed upon prices. They did such a terrific job we had them do another job for us at another location. In the kitchen they removed our old counter top and put in granite, with an under counter sink and new fixtures. In the master bath it was a total re-do. They removed old brass fixtures and demo’d the cabinetry and shower. They put in new floor tile, counters with under sink installation and granite. The shower was replaced with modern fixtures, new tile and glass surround. All-in-all we couldn’t be happier.

We hired Live Oak Construction Group LLC to get our newly acquired condo in move in condition. They installed chandeliers, track lighting, fans, and dimmer switches. They added some new electrical outlets, and installed a number of ceiling fans. A closet was transformed into an open area with a marble desktop. They installed shelving, bathroom accessories, and wall mounted a TV. All work was performed very professionally and totally to our satisfaction. Matt knows his business, and is very pleasant to work with. He is punctual, and responds to phone calls, text messages and emails. He is trustworthy and the work was done according to his estimates. Matt took over a whole house renovation project from contractor who abandoned the job. He was thrust into a difficult situation and the bottom line is that he got the job done and did it with skill and care. As an architect by education, Matt has good ideas and is able to muster sub contractors with the necessary ability to get the particular task at hand accomplished. This was a very expensive and upscale renovation and required Matt to stay on top of budgets and timing. We know times are tough in this business at the moment but you should not overlook this young man’s abilities.

As a designer I was involved in helping select the GC for this master bathroom renovation. I loved working with Matt as he was flexible with client preferences, respectful of the budget and resourceful when developing solutions to challenges that become uncovered with a renovation of an existing home. I had worked with Matt previously on a basement build out and was impressed with his ability to be economical which in my professional opinion is harder than having a big budget. His architectural background allowed him to add value to the design process so as not to spend time on ideas that structurally were not possible. Matt redid my kitchen island for me and it turned out beautifully. I had previously interviewed other contractors who underwhelmed me with their lack of ideas and their personal style, but when Matt came in and talked with me about my vision for the island, he got it right away and immediately took out his tape measure and did some calculations. I felt like we were on the same page and he knew what I wanted. He listened. Matt is very detailed oriented (an architect) and is as picky as I am which was fantastic. Matt also returns every phone call, every email and quickly resolved any issue that arose during the project. He was always available to me which was very important. No issue too small for discussion. Our new island is huge – 128″ x 68″ – and it looks like a beautiful piece of furniture. We love the finished product and everyone who sees it comments on the beauty, the workmanship and the finish. I am so happy with it and I now enjoy cooking and entertaining more than ever.
